Sony confirms sequel to launch for its latest portable in United Kingdom sometime this year; no word on North America release.

Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two will launch for the PlayStation Vita later this year in the United Kingdom, Sony announced today. No mention was made of a release for North America and a Sony representative was not immediately available to comment.

The PS Vita version of Epic Mickey 2 will make use of the system 's touch controls for painting and tilt controls for the game's racing mode. In addition, a two-player Wi-Fi co-op mode that is exclusive to the PS Vita version is also included.

Epic Mickey 2 launched in November behind a middling critical reception and sales of 529,000 units in the United States by the end of December, according to NPD data. For more, check out GameSpot's review.

If it comes out in the US, I'll buy. As long as it isn't digital download only.

hmm. could be copyright issues holding back an NA release. they have to hash out publishing rights for each and every consoles in each and every region.

or they are figuring out how to get it to sell better. or testing the waters in the EU first. no telling. could be 10 different reasons. still a little odd.

and I LOVE my vita. zero complaints. ps+ and Vita have been kind to me IMO. not the biggest library of games, but MORE than enough. No to mention Disgaea 3 is free next week. 100 rpg. Persona 4 next on my list. another 100 hour rpg. not to mention all the PSone games. about 9 amazing RPGs on there. BOF4, FM3, FF6-9.  More than enough games on the vita.

While I'm glad Vita is getting more games... It could suffer to get some better ones...

The Playstation Vita is just like the Wii U. Always the late platform to get these multiplatform video games so late that came out after months on other consoles.

Slightly off subject, but this is why the Rayman/Ubisoft incident was so confusing. I am wondering why it took this long to announce a Vita version though.

This type of game should fit well with the Vita. I'm still surprised Okami HD didn't get a look-in on the Vita.

Probably would have been better as a Vita exclusive title from the start.

good for the vita....but i thought the company making it was dead?

wifi co-op sounds cool for vita...console versions should have this.

maybe they can patch the wiiU version to include off TV play. while they're at it.

Meh. Nice to see the Vita, which is actually a pretty cool device, getting a well known new game addition to it's lineup even if it isn't a game that I have any interest in personally.

@interrasteral7 The Vita so far has been a mixed bag, there have been good games like Assassins Creed Liberation and Uncharted but also a few bad ones like Resistance and Call of Duty. They need to focus on making good games, if a game isn't good enough they should can it or rework it to make it better.

@nocoolnamejim I might even consider getting one if those memory cards actually sell for a sane-person price!
