On Wednesday, Epic Games announced a technical partnership with NetGames USA Inc., a described "gaming enhancement company."

The partnership will use NetGames' ngLog tracking and sorting services, ngStats and ngWorldStats products and services for statistical record keeping, and ngTCS, a tournament control system, all for use with Epic's upcoming Unreal Tournament online 3D-action game.

"Epic's partnership with NetGames USA is in direct response to our gamers' wishes to track their progress and enhance their skills," said Mark Rein, vice president of Epic Games. "NgStats allows for a sophisticated ranking system that enhances the 'tournament' in Unreal Tournament."

"NetGames USA is proud to work so closely with Epic Games to bring a new level of gameplay statistics integration to Unreal Tournament players," said Craig Sparks, president and CEO of NetGames USA, Inc. "Gameplay statistics and ranking systems have proven immensely popular among both local and online players. Everyone will be impressed with the level of integration and benefits our software brings to a gamer's Unreal Tournament play."
