War usually grants its victor freedom, control over another country, or heaps of natural resources. But it never granted its champions gift certificates to Best Buy--until now. The $2,500 Call of Duty 2 tournament on GameSpot, which begins January 31, is now open for registration.

Sixteen five-player teams will go head-to-head in Operation: Winter Invasion. Each round will see pairs of teams battle for the privilege of moving on to the next round. The top four teams will reach the February 3 finals and have their matches broadcast live on GameSpot Tournament TV.

The first-place team will get five $300 gift certificates to Best Buy, the second-place team will get five $100 gift certificates to Best Buy, and each member of the two third-place teams will receive a $50 Best Buy gift certificate.
