Tom Clancy's EndWar is expected to arrive on retail shelves for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 4. Also out that week? Activision's James Bond Quantum of Solace, Sony's Resistance 2, and Microsoft's Gears of War 2, to name a few. For EndWar to make a mark in that opening week, Ubisoft is going to have to come loaded for bear.

As part of that lead up to November, Ubisoft said today that a demo for EndWar is now available on Xbox Live. A release exclusive for Xbox 360 gamers, the demo includes both single- and multiplayer modes. For solo generals, Ubisoft has included the Prelude to War campaign, which acts as a tutorial for the real-time strategy title.

Once aspiring generals have acquainted themselves with the game's unique voice-activated control scheme, they can go online for one-on-one matches in Conquest mode. The multiplayer demo features a single scenario set in La Mancha, Spain. No word on whether any windmills were harmed in the making of this online trial.

When This Game We Can Play It In Our Pc ?

Chemical10.... Vista is fine. I'm a sys admin and I've been running it for a year for all hardware refreshes. On newer hardware, it runs beautifully. It's very fast and responsive on dual core machines. It's also stable and secure. If you have old apps or old hardware, then you should stick with XP SP2(or SP3 now). The idea of buying new hardware with XP is absolutely ludicrous though. Vista is better threaded for multi-core processors and it utilizes large amounts of memory better(over 1gb). Throw in DX10 for gaming, there's no reason anyone should be going with XP anymore. You'll get irritated with the new UI, but if you take the time to adjust you'll find Vista is actually more customizable than you might expect.

I've played the demo an I like it. If I could get players in Graw 2 to respond like that I wouldnt lose a match. I do wish there was a way to get to smaller unit control, like individual team member control so we could snipe a particular opponent. The voice control IS a big ego builder though. Once again I have to admit that while Ubisoft does wonderful things with pregame lobbies (Graw 2 for example) their concept of COVER and CONCEALMENT are SORELY lacking. Take a look at THC's Frontlines, THAT is proper use of terrain. And to all the people out there whinning about why the ps3 doesnt have a demo. It is because Sony KNOWS that anytime they go head to head with Xbox 360 Sony comes in THIRD behind the Wii. ps3 is a BRANDNAME not a gaming platform. Thats sad because truth be told Microsoft cant even get its bread and butter OS to sell. Hint dont try to trick people into thinking you have another version of windows "Mojave" an then saying it is Vista. make vista run like XP service pack 2, THEN bring that to the people.

I was a bit skeptical about the voice command system but after playing the demo I'm convinced this is going to be a game worth getting. I played for at least an hour and not one command was misinterpreted by the computer. Plus, it was fun to play and easy to get into. I expect great things from this game.

Voice Works really well for me also, but with Fallout 3, GOW 2, Fable 2 & Farcry 2 coming its gonna have to wait. Really like it though.

I have to say that the voice controls worked damn well for me. The demo was fun but i don't think i'll be picking up this title anytime soon due to other games coming out. (Fable 2 and Fallout 3 for me! :P )

i have the messenger kit headset and for some reason it wouldn't work with the demo. =(

I played the demo. The voice commands dont always work perfectly (sometimes you clearly say ALPHA and it thinks you said DELTA) But other then that, this is turning out to be a great game, but it will have to wait, my wallet cant support buying all the incredible games coming out this fall.

what does free trial mean? Will the Demo expire? As the Table tennis demo did??

Played it. It was ok i guess. The voice commands worked flawlessly (Brit accent ftw) It did seem kinda shallow though.

could also be that given the ambitious online features of this title that they are ironing out issues with Xfire for PS3 online. PS online blows goats.

actually, as far as being exclusive, it was most likely in need of more developement time to run smoothly on the PS3. the tools are newer and not as user friendly for developing on that platform. Hence the rather lame gaps in game releases for the PS3. I own one but have very few games for it. It seems like most games play as good or better on 360 and that's why 360 sells way more copies of any given multi plat games.

Some GREAT games to come in Nov I cannot wait. Excited about EndWar, Mirrors Edge, Naruto (PS3), resistance, GoW2, and much more. Awesome month for gamers. Also I LOL when people think that just because a demo doesn't come out for a system that it is bad news for the system or that the system sucks. Ahhhh if only you gamers knew that money talks and it has nothing really to do with the system. Look at Mirrors Edge, notice how PS3 is getting exclusive DLC or GTA4 where 360 got exclusive content, or Rock band 2 out first on 360, all about money my friends, if you don't believe me do some research and see what they are dropping for exclusiveness :)

I played the X360 demo, it was pretty cool. I'm so getting this!

I have to agree with Gaijen because probably Microsoft did pay money for it to become an xbox-demo exclusive and that also will attract more people into the game with the Live numbers being well over into the 8+ million compared to whatever PSN has. Its a marketing decision in which I think Ubisoft won.

Meh, its just another Tom Clancy game. I'm not excited, but I'll probably play the demo anyway.

LOL!! No PS3 demo... again. This is one reason why I own both systems. I do want to get this game, but Gears of War 2 is first. I'll have to get this one next year after the price has dropped some. I could care less about James Bond game. I want Resistance 2 as well, but my funds are low. With LBP, Banjo 3, GeoW 2, Prince of Persia, WoW, and a couple other titles already pre-ordered, I'm going to miss out on a few titles until next year.

@Dread-Vengeance Mics aren't a problem for the ps3, since any blue tooth microphone can be hooked up, and there have been numerous releases of "official" mics, such as the war hawk microphone and the recently released new mic that came with SOCOM (or can be purchased separately apparently). My guess is its being released exclusively because A) Microsoft paid a lot of money or B) they believe that it was only worth the cost to bring the demo to one console, and they believe the 360 has a larger base of potential customers.

PSN prolly wont get a demo since Ps3 dont have the broad use of mikes - that Xbox currently haves... My guess anyway. But really looking forward to this game
