Encore has announced that it has signed a deal to publish Victory Simulations' Redline: Xtreme Air Racing 2. Sanctioned by the Reno Air Racing Association, the sequel to Xtreme Air Racing is a flight simulation with a twist, focusing on combat air racing set in a variety of exotic locales.

Xtreme Air Racing 2 will have 50 additional aircraft, making for a total of more than 70, plus improved special effects, new locations, and the ability to engage in air combat during races. Players will also be able to import images to customize the in-game pilot faces and the aircraft.

"I've been passionate about flying my entire life," said Pat Hunt, CEO of Victory Simulations. "It is truly exciting to capture the realism of this sport and to re-create some of my flying experiences in Redline: Xtreme Air Racing 2."

Redline: Xtreme Air Racing 2 is scheduled to ship late this year and will retail for about $30.
