Empire Interactive has announced that it has licensed Criterion Software's RenderWare Graphics utility for the development of its three announced next-generation console games. The company is producing one game in-house and will be publishing two games from third-party developers. They are the real-time strategy game Ghost Master, the Minds Eye-developed Starsky and Hutch, and World Sports Cars. Empire Interactive has also secured the worldwide copublishing rights for the multiplatform game Antz Racing.
"Mind's Eye and Supersonic Software are using RenderWare Graphics for multiplatform development," David Pringle, director of Empire Interactive, said. "We are very pleased with the results that RenderWare Graphics has already produced, and it's enabling all our development teams to focus on creating outstanding content and gameplay."
GameSpot will have more information on Empire's next-generation games as specific details are released.
