Empire Earth II expands

The Art of Supremacy add-on pack brings new gameplay modes, new units, create-a-civilization feature.

Considering that Mad Doc Software's real-time strategy PC game Empire Earth II already has a scope of play that extends from the dawn of humanity to the far-flung future, one would think an expansion pack would have a tough time actually expanding on the game. That's not about to stop Mad Doc, as the developer today announced the game's first add-on, Empire Earth II: The Art of Supremacy.

The Art of Supremacy will add new civilizations, three new campaigns, 10 new combat units, a custom civilization creator, more interaction with native tribes, and two new gameplay modes. In fealty mode, players on the verge of defeat can pledge to become a permanent ally or vassal to their conqueror in exchange for not being snuffed out. The other new addition, tug-of-war mode, lets players fight multiple battles over three, five, or seven maps. Each player has a home map, and players must win battles to move the fight farther into their opponent's territory before claiming ultimate victory with a win on the opponent's home map.

Empire Earth II: The Art of Supremacy is rated T for Teen and scheduled for release in February 2006. For more on the original title, check out GameSpot's review.
