Time to get your rhyme on. Eidos today revealed the first 10 tracks from its upcoming rap karaoke game, Get On Da Mic. All the announced tracks are from what Eidos terms the "classic" era of hip-hop, spanning from the early '80s to the mid-'90s. The tracks are as follows:

1."Rapper's Delight" - Sugar Hill Gang
2."Baby Got Back" - Sir Mix-A-Lot
3."Don't Believe the Hype" - Public Enemy
4."Push It" - Salt-n-Pepa
5."Nuthin' But a 'G' Thang" - Dr.Dre
6."Dear Mama" - Tupac Shakur
7."Gin and Juice" - Snoop Dogg
8."Still Ballin' (Nitty Remix)" - Tupac Shakur
9."The Humpty Dance" - Digital Underground
10."Posse on Broadway" - Sir Mix-A-Lot

Eventually, Get On Da Mic will feature 40 tracks from the old-school era to the g-funk era, and Eidos will announce more contemporary tracks in the coming weeks. However, like most karaoke songs, the tracks will be instrumental covers of the originals with no vocals.

"Get On Da Mic combines songs originally made famous by classic hip-hop legends such as Sir Mix-A-Lot, Tupac, and Dr. Dre with today's hottest tracks that are sure to impress even the most avid hip-hop fans," said Eidos global brand director Chip Blundell.

Get On Da Mic is an interactive rapping game integrating a microphone and a gamer's rhyming skills as he or she raps along with the music. The game will be available for the Sony PlayStation 2 this October and the Microsoft Xbox in early 2005, with a GameCube version arriving sometime thereafter.
