The London-based game company's numbers are down from last year, but it's still in the black.

Eidos has reported its financial results from the quarter ending December 31, 2000, and while the numbers are down almost half from the same quarter the year before, the company still posted a net profit of approximately $10.9 million. Eidos Chairman Ian Livingstone attributed the profits in part to several successful games, including Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Tomb Raider: Chronicles, and Chicken Run. The company plans to release several games in the next fiscal year, beginning April 1, 2001, that were originally scheduled for release in the current quarter. These games include Commandos 2, Gangsters 2, Startopia, Project Eden, and Herdy Gerdy.
