EB Games midnight launch - Xbox One

Retailer EB Games reveals midnight launch events for next-generation Xbox One console; official launch events to feature giveaways and free refreshments.

EB Games Australia has announced the details of its launch events for Microsoft's next-generation console, the Xbox One.

The retail franchise will be hosting official launches across Australia featuring DJ entertainment, games, free refreshments and giveaways. The official Xbox One launch events will take place at the following stores:

EB Helensvale, QLD

EB Tea Tree Plaza, SA

EB Knox City, VIC

EB MacArthur, NSW

EB Werribee, VIC

EB Rockingham, WA (Breakfast launch)

In addition to the official launch events, EB Games will host 317 midnight openings and 352 breakfast events in stores across Australia. Customers who fully pay off an Xbox One preorder will be able to pick up a Fast Pass up until 5pm the day before launch. The Fast Pass will grant access to a priority queue at midnight launch events.

Stores participating in the breakfast launches will be opening earlier to allow customers to pick up preorders in the morning. A full list of participating stores and individual opening times can be found on the official EB Games events website.

The Xbox One will be launching in Australia on November 22 this year.

Come on Gamespot.  Enough with the Microsoft spamming.  This week should be about PS4.  I'm sure next week it will be Xone heavy.

I doubt I'll do the midnight launch, probably just pick it up in the morning. Can't wait to try it out though, Dead Rising 3 looks awesome.

@daikkenaurora12 If PS4 actually had any news, it would be on here. Sony has nothing to say about PS4. Once again, part of their passive PR strategy. They think the console is going to be so amazing and speak for itself - with one exclusive launch title that will be traded-in in droves by Monday.

@stanvx My predictions are that you won't be able to play anything until the next day, what with all the other people updating their xbox's, too.

@BradBurns Yeah we still have EB here.  After all, we have to have a place in Australia that charges $100 per game.

@thatguy2001 I was going to do the same but my friend told me that they are going to give the day one to the first come first serve basis and then continue with the standard. This is Gamestop for you.

@dhsk8sb @thatguy2001 That wouldn't happen if you had paid in full for it already would it?  It would be morally wrong otherwise.

@Lhomity @A-Typing-Llama @BradBurns Yes, I knew that, belf, but EB doesn't exist in The States after it merged with Gamestop, and I was under the impression that the, 'EB' brand would be discontinued over here as well. I think that's what BradBurns was on about, too.
