Electronic Arts announced the opening of its latest development studio, Tiburon Entertainment, a wholly owned subsidiary of EA, located in a suburb of Orlando, Florida.

Tiburon's facilities include a 25,000-square-foot creative center. The EA studio is holding an open house there on Tuesday (July 21) from 7 to 9pm in conjunction with this year's SIGGRAPH conference in Orlando. And for prospective artists and programmers, they'll be holding a job fair during the open house.

Tiburon was actually founded in 1994. The 60-person company designed titles including John Madden Football for the PlayStation and Nintendo 64 systems and a PlayStation version of NCAA College Football for EA before being acquired by the company in April.

Tiburon founder and president John C. Schappert said of his new digs, "The facility houses an on-site video-editing and -composing suite. In the tradition of a sports bar, televisions are spread throughout the offices for employees to relax and take in a football game via satellite. All of this state-of-the-art technology is nestled in a wooded lakeside site with wetlands and ospreys."
