EA Offering Peggle for Free Right Now on Origin

PopCap's strategy title is the latest deal from EA's "On the House" promotion.

PopCap's casual puzzle game Peggle (2007) is now free to download through Origin as part of the platform's recently launched "On the House" promotion. You can download the game now.

Peggle normally sells for $5 on Origin. It replaces DICE's Battlefield 3, which was free on Origin last month. Other free games have included Dead Space and Plants vs. Zombies.

Origin's On the House promotion does not come with any strings attached. You're getting the full version of the game and it's yours to keep with no limitations. Peggle 2 was announced last year at E3 and is currently available on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Meanwhile Goold Old Games is giving away Magrunner: Dark Pulse. EA fail again.

Remember, EA was testing out a F2P version of Peggle 1 in select markets, and while doing so removing the good old normal version of Peggle.  It was in Australia and somewhere else.

I have to wonder if this is a bad omen that they are giving the game away for free right now.
