Electronic Arts announced Thursday that it has finally managed to sign on Michael Jordan to appear in NBA Live 2000, due for a fall release.

Specifically, the now-retired Jordan will be featured along with 60 other NBA players in a special Legends of the Game module, which will be found on the PC and PlayStation versions of the game. In this mode, players can compete against all-star teams from different decades, as well as play one-on-one basketball against the legends with their own favorite player.

"For 14 years, Michael Jordan's awesome skill, unique charisma, and peerless class on and off the court captured the imaginations of millions of people around the world," said Larry Probst, chairman and CEO of Electronic Arts. "He is a symbol of uncompromising excellence, unparalleled performance and leadership, and is considered by many to be the greatest athlete of the century. EA Sports is excited to add Jordan to the world of cyber athletes."
