The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions of the game will see both shared and exclusive DLC. Common to both, Dead Space will see a number of suits and weapon packs. For $1 (80 Microsoft points), gamers can pick up The Big Gun Pack, which includes the Steam Punk Force Gun, or the Hot Rock Pack, which adds new visual effects for the flamethrower and pulse rifle.

Priced $.50 higher is the Pedestrian Pack, which includes new skins for the contact beam, plasma cutter, and ripper. The $2.25 (180 Microsoft points) Scorpion and Speed Killer Packs offer gamers faster-firing upgrades for the plasma cutter, line gun, and force gun.

At the $3 (240 Microsoft points) price point, gamers can pick up the Astronaut Pack, which includes an astronaut suit and weapon skins, and the Heavy Damage Pack, equipped with new looks and enhanced power for various weapons. A number of $4 packs are also available, including the Military Pack, Scorpion Pack, and Tank Pack, all of which confer enhanced damage, new space suits, or retextured weapons.

As for the platform-specific DLC, PS3 gamers can pick up the Obsidian Weapon Skin Pack, which casts the game's weapons in a jet-black hue, for $1.50, or go all in with the $3.00 Obsidian Pack that includes the weapon colors as well as a deep-black suit. Gamers on Microsoft's platform will see comparably priced and outfitted packs, save that the new textures will be cast in "Xbox 360 colors."

The new DLC for Dead Space will be available on the Xbox 360 beginning November 13, with the PS3 packs following on November 20. Check out GameSpot's review of Dead Space for more on the game.
