EA Access Free for Xbox Live Gold Members Next Week

The free ride last from January 19 to 24.

Xbox Live Gold members wondering if paying for another subscription service is worth it will be able to find out next week. EA's monthly Access program is free for all Gold members next week.

Starting January 19, EA Access will be offering 14 free games to Gold members until January 24. Among the games included is Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, which is seeing a sequel come out in February. Characters unlocked in the original Garden Warfare will carry over to Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, which releases on February 23. Garden Warfare 2 will be available to EA Access subscribers before it hits shelves. EA digital content is also discounted by 10% for subscribers.

  • Dragon Age: Inquisition
  • Need for Speed: Rivals
  • Peggle 2

After January 24, players will have to subscribe to EA Access to continue accessing the EA Vault. It costs $4.99 per month, or $29.99 per year.

EA Access is only available on the Xbox One. Sony said no to the program coming to PlayStation 4 because it wasn't a "good value" for PlayStation fans. EA recently launched a similar program called Origin Access on PC.
