The Interactive Digital Software Association (IDSA), announced today that companies at its E3 trade show later this month will unveil approximately 1,500 new titles, along with MMX and DVD-ROM platforms.

IDSA says E3 floor space will equal the size of 35 football fields.

According to IDSA figures, 65 percent of software set to debut at E3 is entertainment, with edutainment making up 29 percent. Action- and adventure-themed titles make up 37 percent of entertainment titles, with strategy and puzzle titles accounting for 17 percent and sports titles accounting for 11 percent.

Between 15-20 percent of the PC titles shown are Internet-enabled, and 85 percent of exhibitors at the show have their own web sites.
