Fortnite coming to Nintendo Switch is a rumour that is building steam, and that continues still. Amid all the E3 2018 news today, Chance the Rapper tweeted that he apparently expects Epic's popular battle royale game to launch on Nintendo's hybrid console tomorrow, June 11.

That more than likely won't happen, however, as the game hasn't even been announced for Switch yet. Nintendo's E3 2018 briefing is slated for the morning of Tuesday, June 12, so check back then to see if Nintendo and Epic have anything to say about bringing the game to Switch. In the meantime, players who already have access can check out a new update.

Recently, a ratings board in Korea listed Fortnite for Switch, while files from the game have reportedly already been uploaded to the Eshop. All of this suggests that an announcement and potential release for the Switch is coming up soon.

Fortnite is one of the biggest games on the dear planet Earth right now, so it makes sense that Epic would want to extend its reach even further. Fortnite runs quite well on mobile, so even though the Switch isn't as powerful as the PS4 or Xbox One, it could still offer a solid experience. One potential issue, however, is that voice chat on Switch is currently a bit of a headache. If you're playing with friends, that could pose a problem if you like to communicate.

Check back on June 12 to watch the Nintendo E3 briefing here on GameSpot. We'll also have a liveblog and a blow-by-blow rundown of the show in our liveblog.
