If it's one thing the games industry knows how to do, it's how to cut an impressive trailer. Whether they're full CG or all in-game, the best trailers convey their games' strengths, tell us what to expect, and most importantly ramp up the hype. Here's a selection of some of the best game trailers released so far at this year's E3.
Bloodborne seems like it's gonna be a brutal & bloody experience... AND that Van Helsing-ish atmosphere.... A shame it's PS4-exclusive.
dead island 2 and no mans sky land where both awesome trailers !!
Halo was pretty boring, i have to admit. its like hey! its a new trailer to games you played what 5-10 years ago? what the hell man!
No Man's Sky might be particularly interesting.
But anyway: Trailers are mostly boring and so yesterday!
No Man's Sky looks really good. Unfortunately I think the Star Wars physics will bug the hell out of me. Come on, isn't a large part of this game supposed to be about flying in space? I hope Star Citizen won't be so arcadish. I'll still probably get this though, looks like a lot of fun.
I was really disappointed by this article:
According to this: the game is confirmed to run at: 1080p - but only at an underwhelming 30 frames per second!
For a game that runs on a PS4 - and feature such narrow corridors and allyways: there is no reason in hell for it to be a lousy 30fps 1080p.
PS4 can chew this game for breakfast Considering it will run The Witcher 3, Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain, Shadow of Mordor and The Division @ 60fps average!
There is just no excuse - Bloodborne is a game on a lesser scale. Should be smooth 100% of the time.
From Software - needs to employ some better game programmers: a non open world game like this, with no "living eco system" like the games I just mentioned: should never go below 60fps on a freaking PS4.
They must optimize it before the release. Next gen gaming is about 60fps with great visual fidelity.
Ori and the Blind Forest: looks so much like the fabulous indie game: Dust: an Elysian Tail.
Is there any chance it is made by the same guy?
They definitely took a lot of inspiration from Dust.
I think the Scalebound and Crackdown trailers should be on here as well, they looked gorgeous and amazing as hell...plus no Witcher 3 and DA:I? Come on guys...
I like AC Unity, GTA V and Dragon Age.
Sorry I think that , this guy's list is way better:
The Division's still my most wanted game out of everything, since it was announced last year. Nothing really even comes close for me.
Next gen is finally stepping up it's game. Did witcher 3 not make it because they showed the X1 version?
To bad the newest The Witcher 3 trailer wasn't shown on the MS stage before the gameplay. It would blow every E3 trailer out of the water.
No Man's Sky premise is a bold one. To be able to dogfight enemy ships while crossing different planets with no loading times... Not sure how they gonna pull that off.
@rskueem AC is getting old and stale.
@GunEye Pretty much all From games are plagued by this... They're pretty bad at optimizing their games
@GunEye It is interesting. I remember FromSoftware having issues with FPS all the way back to the PSX days. I remember playing a game called Shadow Tower, which plays ridiculously similar to the Souls series. Shadow Tower played with a terrible FPS mark. I'm thinking it was around 15-20 FPS consistently. Maybe that's FromSoftware's "thing"...
Maybe you should just give up on gaming?...find a new hobby?
@slicedbread117 Yeah bro, and i hope Mass Effect 4 will be a 10/10 btw i havent played mass effect before but i'm waiting for a hd trilogy version for ps4 and i will get ps4 on august so happy gaming =D!
@hastati4 We got to wait exactly another year, man with these game delays I sure hope that they make the game better instead like Watch Dogs that looked a whole lot diffirently when you got down and played it.
@tomservo51 They didn't really show a trailer, either, if I recall, but actual gameplay, which kinda makes them better than every CGI trailer on this list.
@ChillDudeID The game looks awesome! Steam is (or was, I haven't checked today) doing a deal for owners of either the Witcher or the Witcher 2 where you get 15% off if you preorder. If you don't own either on Steam, you still get 10% off.
@leikeylosh Me either but looks very promising. Heck even if nothing else, a throw back to the space games of the old days.
