E3 2014: Assassin’s Creed Unity to Feature Four-Player Co-Op

Ubisoft shows off a cooperative demo at Microsoft's E3 2014 press conference.

At Microsoft’s E3 2014 press conference, Ubisoft showed off the first live gameplay demonstration of Assassin’s Creed Unity. The demo showed off not just the usual lone assassin, but four attackers working in tandem in online cooperative play. The demo featured stealth assassinations, but focused on full-on attacks and open-air violence.

Fellow assassins are clearly designated by icons hovering above their heads, and the featured environments look as gorgeous as you would expect from the franchise. We’ll undoubtedly have more information on Assassin’s Creed Unity in the days to come.

The COOP will ruin the game, because everybody will just rush instead of helping each others.

This is the only thing I've looked up regarding this game so far but I'll tell you, I will be looking up more.

Finally the animations/movement is quicker and more agile! About time! And the combat has always been pretty violent in the past games, but this just looks viciously brutal. I love it!

Kinda hoping you can create your own assassin. Even if just after completing the game for more replay value and to unlock different gear and more incentive to get 100% synchronization.

The graphics look phenomenal too. I hope it stays looking that good when it gets released, but we've all seen this story before.

Still, I'm hopeful. Looks really good.

If it's up to four players throughout the entire campaign, I am all about it. If it's just a few missions or set pieces, that's still cool, but it isn't enough for me to think, "I have to have another AC game." After Brotherhood I was kinda burned out. I know that Black Flag was well regarded, but it's like Madden. Just franchise exhaustion for me. The four player thing for the whole game would fix that.

I hate to mope over details, but the only real difference I seen was the animations when he was traversing from ledges.

It kinda does look different from the other assassin's creed games...Still need to see single player gameplay tho.

Im not buying it unless it has

-rehauled combat system : the previous one is old as hell and the parry mode makes you feel like a god. You shouldnt be able to take down 30 foes without  a sweat. Its AC not Dmc
-Difficulty modes

All the other games were easy as f*ck. Make it so that the game has an OPTIONAL HARD MODE where if you dont do 100% sync its game over

Ubisoft found a new way of protecting the game from piracy?
Now you need to not just be connected online all the time, but also to have 3 more friends to do the same in order to play the game?

@deltron77 Samurais adhering to bushido would probably frown upon the notion of sneaky assassination, regarding it as dishonourable and cowardly...

Shinobi, on the other hand, would probably be more fitting
