JoWood will be demonstrating The Guild: Europa 1400, its upcoming medieval life simulation, at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles. The unusual game will combine elements of role-playing, real-time strategy, and economic simulation games to let you experience life in the late Middle Ages.

The game is set in the year 1400. As the towns of Europe emerge from the clutches of the aristocracy, new businesses begin to flourish, but the Continent is still plagued by disease and crime. You'll be able to choose from one of 12 different career paths, including blacksmith, alchemist, priest, and thief, and you can either follow a series of missions or play the game as an open-ended simulation. The game will also include a multiplayer mode for up to eight players.

We've posted some screenshots from the game in the gallery above. The Guild: Europa 1400 is scheduled for release this fall. We'll have more information about the game from the E3 show floor.
