The next game based on the BattleTech license is coming to the Xbox, and it will be at E3.

Comments

The next game based on the BattleTech universe will be coming to the Xbox in the fall. This third-person shooter takes place in the 31st century when enormous 40-foot-tall robots are stalking the earth. MechAssault will have a single-player mode where you can learn to pilot your mechs before heading into the multiplayer modes, which include a split screen mode and an online option where you can talk to each other via the Xbox Live voice-over feature. Perhaps the most intriguing aspect of MechAssault is that the environments are fully destructible. In fact, you are encouraged to use objects in the environment, such as buildings as weapons against enemy infantry so you can save the heavy-duty firepower for enemy mechs. In addition, during a mission, you can modify your mechs by switching out boosters for additional weapons or other items.

Check back later this week when we'll have new information on MechAssault.
