Sierra Entertainment and Fox Interactive have announced their upcoming game based on Dark Angel, the recently canceled TV series created by James Cameron. The third-person action adventure game is being developed at Radical Entertainment for the Sony PlayStation 2 and the Microsoft Xbox, and it will feature voice-overs by Jessica Alba and Michael Weatherly, the stars of the TV show.

The game is set in a futuristic Seattle. Players will assume control of Max, a genetically engineered soldier who escapes from Manticore, the military organization that created her. As Max, players will undertake a quest to find her missing family and overcome the haunting memories of her time at Manticore.

"The group at Radical Entertainment is doing a great job with the development of James Cameron's Dark Angel and creating an excellent game for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox," said Chris Miller, producer for Fox Interactive. "Working with the actual actors from the show and incorporating their likenesses into the game adds to the realism of the storyline and will give consumers a chance to virtually play as Max in her next adventure to find her sister and fellow genetically engineered escapees."

Dark Angel is scheduled for release this fall. We'll post more information about the game as it becomes available.
