E3 2001 Preshow Report: Syphon Filter 3

Sony Computer Entertainment America has announced Syphon Filter 3 for the PlayStation. Gabe Logan and Lian Xing returns in this action-adventure game featuring new weaponry, including proximity mines and new rifles, and levels based on more than 18 international environments. In the game, players assume control of Gabe, Lian, or other operatives depending on the level and gameplay situation. Aside from the single-player game, Syphon Filter 3 will include an enhanced two-player mode, in which players can battle head-to-head. All new mini-games that provide gameplay training are also included in this latest game in the series.

Syphon Filter 3 will be released for the PlayStation in September.
