LOS ANGELES--Konami has announced that it will show Marvel Trading Card Game at E3 this week, which will launch on the PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS, and PC in Q3 2006. The card-based strategy game will feature characters from the Marvel Universe, and players will be able to participate online in regular sanctioned tournaments for prizes.

The game includes characters such as Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, the X-Men, the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, and Ghost Rider. The single-player game will feature comic book scenes that tell the game's story, and you can explore a branching narrative for the chance to acquire additional cards.

In the game's online modes, you can compete across a variety of game modes and tournaments, trade cards with other players, and purchase new cards from an online store. The title will also offer cross-platform online play between PSP and PC, and Internet play between DS consoles over Nintendo's Wi-Fi connection. Local wireless multiplayer will be supported on the Nintendo DS and PSP.
