E3 06: Gradius Collection Preshow Report

Konami's Gradius series is widely considered to be one of the very best in the scrolling shooter genre. This summer, Konami will be bringing out a love letter to Gradius fans everywhere in the form of Gradius Collection for the PlayStation Portable, and the game will be on display at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2006.

Gradius Collection will include five major Gradius titles: Gradius, Gradius II, Gradius III, and Gradius IV, as well as Gradius Gaiden, which was previously only released in Japan. Apart from the addition of a 16x9 widescreen mode for all the included games, Gradius Collection will provide a gallery mode that will let players view any of the movies from the included games, as well as listen to any of the individual soundtrack songs.
