E3 06: Death, Jr. and the Science Fair of Doom First Look

LOS ANGELES--Earlier today, at its pre-E3 press event in downtown LA, Konami unveiled Death, Jr. and the Science Fair of Doom for the Nintendo DS. The game will be completely different than the Death, Jr. sequel that was announced for the PlayStation Portable at the same time, although both games will boast a second playable character in the form of DJ's friend Pandora.

The DS game's storyline revolves around a science fair accident that claims the life of Pandora early on in the game. Most video game characters would probably give up at that point, of course, but Pandora will purportedly be every bit as playable as a spirit as she would be if she were still breathing. One of your first missions in the game will be to get Pandora's lifeless body into cold storage until a cure for her unfortunate condition can be found.

Death, Jr. and the Science Fair of Doom's story-driven adventure will be single-player only, but you'll be able to switch between the two playable characters who, presumably, have quite different moves and/or weapons in their arsenals. You'll be able to exchange the money and souls that you collect as you progress through the game for weapon and power upgrades.

Further information on Death, Jr. and the Science Fair of Doom is scarce at present, save for the fact that it will boast three "seriously twisted" minigames that can be played against friends wirelessly. We'll bring you more information on the game as soon as we're able to spend some time with it.
