Dynamix says its commercial flight sim Pro Pilot 99 is now available in stores.

The newest version of Dynamix's flight simulation will feature 3Dfx Glide acceleration and pilot assistance in the form of a detailed starting manual, another 272-page guide, and 30 training videos developed with the National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI).

Aircraft in Pro Pilot 99 include the 1997 Cessna Skyhawk C172R, the Beechcraft Bonanza V35, and the Cessna CitationJet 525 among others. Players can fly to 35 major population centers and 4,300 airports in 3D terrain representing the United States, Western Europe, and portions of Canada.

Pro Pilot 99 will also include a new aircraft view system allowing full freedom of movement, aircraft lights, customizable runway lights, audio Air Traffic Control communications, an improved Flight Planning Wizard, and GPS navigation.

"Pro Pilot '99 is one of the most technologically advanced and realistic general aviation simulators available today," said Mark Pechnick, designer of Pro Pilot 99. "The unsurpassed quality, accuracy, and attention to detail in this sim makes it an excellent preparation and exercise utility for flight enthusiasts, aviation students, novice pilots, and professional aviators. With this title and strategic support from NAFI, Pro Pilot '99 provides a personalized, truly wonderful experience of flight."

The Sierra title tips the scales at around US$50.
