Techland announced the "Buggy Frenzy" event in a press release. The Dying Light developer says it will reward players with an "exclusive Gold Buggy paint job" upon completion, while everyone who participates will receive a special weapon docket. Producer Tymon Smektala says participants will get a little extra help, too.

"We're giving the buggy some extra hitting power during the event, so smashing zombies will be even more fun," Smektala explained. "Make sure to give it a try."

You can keep track of the cumulative score right here. It currently features a countdown timer to the event and will add a live score counter when the event starts.

The Buggy Frenzy community event will be available from March 19 to 20 for players on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. You must own the Dying Light expansion, The Following, to participate.

In other Dying Light news, a crossover with Rocket League was recently anounced, where players can outfit their vehicle with a paint job inspired by the soccer-with-cars game.
