Dungeon Siege III turning up DLC in October

Obsidian Entertainment bringing $10 Treasures of the Sun add-on to action RPG next month on 360, PS3, PC.

Dungeon Siege III developer Obsidian Entertainment may have cut staff shortly before the release of its latest role-playing game, but that move won't deprive gamers of add-on content. Today, Square Enix announced Dungeon Siege III will expand this October with Treasures of the Sun.

Treasure of the Sun also works as a tagline for Florida oranges.

Available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC editions of the game for $10, Treasures of the Sun will update Dungeon Siege III with an all-new plot arc that sees gamers venturing outside the kingdom of Ehb. As they search for a missing Legion hero, they must navigate the hostile Aranoi Desert, fighting new enemies, finding new items, and embarking on more quests.

Players will be afforded new abilities, spells, and attacks, depending on which of the four classes in Dungeon Siege III they chose to play. The expansion also raises Dungeon Siege III's level cap from 30 to 35. Finally, Obsidian has made changes to the proficiencies and talents system, as well as the item-transmutation feature.

I actually enjoyed the game, the story was enjoyable. The controls with k/m were aweful... until you got the hang of it, and then you were a god. Depending on your character (range fighters are easier than melee), the gameplay remained challenging until the end. I am actually waiting to see how this add on turns out, and hoping it will last more than an hour. I do not care for expansions months after the game that will only let me play a few mns.

I honestly didn't care for this as much as I thought I would..... It's just a lot of little things I don't like that start to pile up in the end, I wouldn't say its a bad game just a bad game for single player.....

Now that's a joke if I ever heard one.But you don't actually have to make a game that strives to be anything close to good to release DLC for it.Which is as sad of a commentary on the state of the modern gaming industry as any.

I was very disappointed with this game. I was really looking forward to it but the ridiculous multi-player options and lack of any innovation killed it for me.

Not sure what you guys are crying about..Had fun with the game all the way through..Some of yall are just to picky when it comes to games..Obsidion did a good job with it..Wasnt buggy at all..Had no problems trying to figure out controls..Enjoyed the game..Lookin forward to this dlc..It seams they made some kind of cash with ds3..Other wise there would be no dlc to add ot it..They wouldve just left it alone..Ill pick up the dlc and enjoy looking for another legion to join the cause..

I guess the only question that comes to mind for me is.. "why?" The game itself did horribly and wasn't fun at all. A DLC won't add/change enough things to alter the base experience sufficiently to redeem it, only an expansion pack can really do that.

Nice. Very nice. Only problem is i can't get myself to play more than 5 minutes at a time of this game.

They tried WAY too hard to make this a serious RPG, when that's not what click&loot ARPGs are about. It ended up awkward, unbalanced, and with the worst mage character I've ever played. Spend your time & money on Torchlight instead... [RIP Obsidian... Either start putting out games that reflect your Black Isle roots or move on, please.]

love it. wish they would give full control of the camera. Also let me play my own character on multiplayer ... other than that good stuff

How about Obsidian turning up something that doesn't feel half-finished and rushed?

haven't even played half of the game, I still think they should give me a full refund and a compensation for damaged cause by stupid storylines.
