Role-playing aficionados holding out to buy DreamCatcher's Dungeon Lords game for the PC have a new reason to open up their Bag of Holding (read: wallet) early next year. The publisher today announced that Dungeon Lords Collector's Edition will be released on January 27, 2006. In addition to the original title released in May of this year, the CE features a shiny new case, and several new quests, monsters, items, and spells. Dungeon Lords Collector's Edition is rated T for Teen and has not yet been priced.
Dungeon Lords crowning collector's edition
Role-playing game lands special edition featuring new quests, monsters, items, spells.
Dungeon Lords was somewhat of a disappointment, but many of the problems (and there were a lot of problems) were fixed in the patches. (I wish the interface elements were scalable to larger sizes for high resolutions like in Guild Wars.) Coming in 2006 we will see Titan Quest, Oblivion and Neverwinter Nights 2, among other RPGs, all of which I expect will be better than Dungeon Lords. (Please don't disappoint me...) It might be wise to save your $ for those other games. I still think a Dungeon Lords 2 might make a good RPG, if they fund it properly and finish it before release.
why even bother with a collector's edition..how about refunding everyone their money and an apology to boot. LOL DUNGEON LORDS-COASTER OF THE YEAR...bah...
The collectors edition includes: 1. An ingame map - no, really this time! 2. Less bugs from the previous release 3. More quests (with new bugs!) 4. More time between required reboots - up to 5 minutes of play time now! Order now, and we will include a free Sony Rootkit on the disk.
maybe this will be the 'fixed' version of the game, or the game the devs would have published if they had been given more time.
Yeah, I heard nothing but bad things about this game. Perhaps "collector's" edition is a poor choice of words.
It's good that Gamespot's news isn't biased against terrible products. It's nice seeing games like this get just as much dignity as Zelda or Halo in the news, even if they suck. Civility is always nice. Ooh! I got second!... Ahem...
