Ubi Soft Entertainment has today announced that David Duchovny and Adam West will be starring in XIII, its upcoming first-person shooter. Duchovny--best known for playing Fox Mulder on The X-Files--will voice the role of secret agent XIII, while Adam West--who played Batman back in the '60s--will lend his voice to a character named General Carrington.

"XIII isn't like any video game I have ever seen--it plays like a suspenseful movie with a conspiracy-ridden storyline filled with enough twists and turns to keep everyone guessing," Duchovny said. "Players are in for a lot of surprises with this game--things are never what they seem, making for good drama and a great game."

"XIII's visual style is extremely eye-catching," West said. "The game's comic text and pop-up windows are similar to elements we used with the Batman series to stay true to the comic. In XIII, it builds this graphic-novel world to the last detail."

XIII is a comic-book-inspired first-person shooter in which players assume the role of a secret agent with complete amnesia who has been accused of assassinating the US president by the FBI. As they attempt to clear their name, players will be assisted by the hard-nosed General Carrington, and by a character named Major Jones who is voiced by musician and movie actress Eve.
