Simon & Schuster Interactive has announced that all of the principal actors of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine have been confirmed for the game, except the actor who played Sisko on the show. Already confirmed for the show are: Michael Dorn as Worf, Nana Visitor as Kira, Alexander Siddig as Bashir, Rene Auberjonois as Odo, Armin Shimerman as Quark, Andrew Robinson as Garak, and Terry Farrell as Jadzia Dax.

The actor who played Captain Sisko on the series, Avery Brooks, is "not available" to do voice acting for the game. Peter Binazeski of Simon Schuster told GameSpot that for contractual reasons it is not certain whether another actor will stand in for Brooks to do Sisko's voice for the game. Captain Sisko is one of three playable characters in The Fallen.

The game's developer, The Collective, has produced an effective method of syncing the 3D models' mouth, eyes, nose, and eyebrows to the actors' voices in real time. Much of the voice work for the game has already been recorded at a Los Angeles studio. The Fallen is scheduled for release in October.
