DS developer license for Engine Software
Engine Software achieves licensed DS developer status courtesy of Nintendo of America.
Netherlands-based Engine Software today announced that its Nintendo DS developer license has been approved by Nintendo of America. The DS license is the sixth that Engine has been awarded by Nintendo in a 10-year business relationship that has seen the developer supporting the Super Nintendo, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and GameCube.
"Personally I am very glad to have expanded our relationship with Nintendo once again. No matter how long you work with Nintendo they keep amazing you with new, innovative ideas which simply result in an explosion of inspiration," said Ruud van Moosdijk, head of development at Engine Software. "I am confident that the DS will bring new enjoyment to developers and consumers alike."
Engine Software hasn't announced any games for the Nintendo DS at this time, but it has revealed that it will rewrite its popular GBA Music Replayer Library middleware for the new platform. We'll bring you more information on the developer's plans as soon as it becomes available.
