Mythos Games has announced that its upcoming turn-based strategy game, The Dreamland Chronicles: Freedom Ridge, has been delayed until the end of the year. The game was previously scheduled for release this spring, but the developer states that the delay was caused by the creation of a new custom engine for the PlayStation 2 version of the game. The game is being promoted as the spiritual successor to the critically acclaimed turn-based strategy game X-COM: UFO Defense, which was developed by Mythos Games and released by Microprose in 1994.

Mythos also released some new images from the game, which we have posted above along with some previously released images. For more information about The Dreamland Chronicles: Freedom Ridge, take a look at our previews of the game.
