TOKYO - As GameSpot reported two days ago, several Dreamcast games have been delayed. Sega of Japan officially announced it today. The games that have been delayed:

Sega Rally 2 from 11/27 to 1/14Blue Stinger from 12/3 to 1/14Geistforce from 12/10 to TBASonic Adventure from 12/17 to 12/23Monaco Grand Prix Racing Simulation 2 from 12/23 to TBA

According to the official statement, the reason for the delay has to do with the Dreamcast's newest feature - online gameplay. Sega Rally 2's biggest selling point is its online competition, but it is taking more time than expected to establish online facilities. So Sega moved the release date to January 14. As a result, Sega revised its whole release strategy for the first three months after the system's launch. The list focuses on three high-selling periods - launch day, Christmas, and the beginning of 1999.
