Dragon's Prophet open beta kicks off May 30

Sony Online Entertainment's free-to-play MMO entering public trial period later this month.

by

Sony Online Entertainment announced today that an open beta for free-to-play massively multiplayer online role-playing game Dragon's Prophet will launch in North America May 30.

On this date, gamers can join current closed beta participants.

In addition, Sony announced that all Dragon's Prophet "founders" (those who pay a monthly fee for the game) will receive access to the open beta one day early on May 29.

Sony also announced today that it has lifted the Dragon's Prophet closed beta nondisclosure agreement, thus allowing all beta testers to openly share information about the game.

Dragon's Prophet is currently in development at Runewaker Entertainment, the team that created Runes of Magic. The game is expected to launch in full later in 2013 via download.

Gameplay>Graphics

The $!&# i do in this game as a Ranger would have gotten me killed 20 times over in any other mmo.

Well since NDA is lifted I can say that graphics in this game sucks... Only 1 race and 10-15 head variants (WoW-style, but crappier). Maybe it has some interesting mechanics, dragons and all, but I can't force myself to play it after AoC, Guild Wars 2 and Secret World visuals... Low-res textures and low-polygon models, shitty lighting...

This game is barely complete what are they thinking.

It seems interesting, so I might try it out. I have my reservations, given that it's SOE and Runewaker Entertainment (I did not really like Runes of Magic).

can't be too judmental for a f2p game, but comeon pokemon with train your dragon is a bit too 13 year old focus for my taste.

Another MMo which attrack bunch of exploiters....game got big player base to time when devs fix the exploits (if ever and if any exist).....game lose part of playerbase(exploiters)....qq on everywhere that game is bad (expoiters who dont have interest in that title anymore cause of exploits fixes)....game will become gray as many same before :p
