Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 2 releases in about two months, but players will get a chance to try it out for themselves before release. Publisher Bandai Namco announced an open beta, alongside a new character and an Expert Mission multiplayer mode.

Details for the beta will be announced soon, but we do know it'll give players the opportunity to explore the new hub area, Conton City. It's seven times larger than the first game's hub and is where players will get quests, training, and items.

In addition to the beta, we learned that Majin Vegeta is set to appear in Xenoverse 2. Majin Vegeta is the result of the villainous wizard Babidi harnessing the evil in Vegeta's heart to take control, making him stronger and faster. You can check him out in the images in the gallery above.

The Expert Mission multiplayer mode has six players coming together to face off against giant NPC bosses. On top of that, the single-player features twice the number of quests than Xenoverse 1, parallel quests from the original game, and a new system for rare item drops, which contain costumes and accessories.

Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 2 releases for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 25. It features a cameo appearance and music remixes by popular DJ Steve Aoki.

You can find out what's new and improved about the upcoming Dragon Ball Z game here. The much-requested feature of going Super Saiyan 3 with player-made characters is confirmed, and players will be able to use the Final Kamehameha, a move only performed by Vegito and Gogeta in the anime series.
