Downtime Ahead for GameFan Affiliates

GameFan Network notified affiliated sites this weekend that the network's servers will discontinue hosting sites this evening. Popular sites such as VoodooExtreme.com have been left looking for new hosting arrangements. In recent months, some sites had reported consistent problems with missing or late advertising payments from GameFan Network.

The GameFan Online web site is also down, and it displays a message informing readers of technical problems. Online retailer Express.com acquired GameFan earlier this year and has made significant changes to the operations of the online game publication. While the online staff has relocated to Hollywood, the print magazine is still located in Woodland Hills, Calif., and has been largely unaffected by recent corporate events.
