DJ Hero 2 spinning 105 songs

Activision announces every song for upcoming turntable rhythm game; artists include Lady Gaga, DeadMau5, Metallica, The Chemical Brothers, 50 Cent, Eminem, Kanye West.

Last week Activision confirmed the leaked 93-song Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock setlist. Today the publisher is taking a more formal approach to announcing the soundtrack for its other music rhythm game due out this holiday season, DJ Hero 2.

Deadmau5 spins two songs in DJ Hero 2.

Set for an October 19 release, DJ Hero 2 will come with 105 songs, remixed in 80 distinct ways. Notable artists featured in the game include Eminem, who lends "Not Afraid" to the game; Deadmau5, who scratches up his iconic beat "Ghosts N Stuff"; and Metallica, offering their eight-minute headbanging hit "The Day That Never Comes" to the game.

The game's mixes were produced by developer FreeStyle Games as well as DeadMau5, Tiesto, David Guetta, DJ Qbert, and a heap of other mixologists.

As for the game, DJ Hero 2 will come in a variety of bundles, including a "party in a box" set ($149.99) that includes a copy of the game, two turntables, and a microphone, as well as a single-turntable bundle ($99) and a version without accessories ($49.99 for the Wii, $59.99 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3).

@shadowkillar11 Some drum and bass songs would have been good in DJ Hero. The Red Mist VIP track DLC was really good and probably my favourite song. Shame there is no Dubstep either, what with this being a dance/DJ themed game, you would have thought they would have at least a couple of sounds from each genre of music. But otherwise the set list looks good, with Justice, MSTRKRFT and Daft Punk. But why did they have to mix Ghosts and Stuff with Lady Gaga, it sounds rubbish in the trailers. Does anyone else think they should have included Jagaur Skills as a DJ? His mashups are amazing, like the 30 years of hip hop or Gaming Mix

@Raiden0127 Agreed...would have loved to see stuff like Armin van Buurren, Cosmic Gate, Rank 1 and other trance, instead we just get 3 Tiesto tracks. In saying that the hip hop tracks are mostly obvious choices but are overall excellent songs.

If I'm spending any cash on the rhythm genre this year, it'll be RB3 not this crap.

Uh, guys. When I said what I said, I meant it's because the sequel is much better. I should've made that clear.

Announcing every song is a bit unusual: Normally they do it in dribs and drabs.

a few turds in there but a pretty good list overall. cant wait to play!

Not impressed. Seems like Activision is trying to cram as much pop culture down this games throat as the first one. I'd like to see a 50-50 mix of EDM and hip hop, not 98% hip hop and 2% EDM.

Don't you think we have enough music games already Activision? Why not release it as a dlc? Remember when the "Hero" series was actually good and innovative back in Guitar Hero 1-2.

Wow, well, at least they did "Superstition" instead of "Uptight." Not great, and I'm a little disappointed with a couple returning tracks.

These are the songs that will be MIXED into each other, not stand alone tracks, so there isn't actually 105 playable songs, but 105 featured.

I came in expecting the actual remixes and was disappointed :( There's a lot of good stuff here though. Bad Romance, Mo Money Mo Problems, California Love, The Day That Never Comes, ****ing STYLO! But there's a lot more crap compared to DJ Hero 1 (Soulja Boy? UGHHH). I have mixed feelings about this game now...

They have some Classics on this game! Coolyfet has played the demo of the original game at best buy and he really enjoyed it so much. The Turntables cost too much though, so Coolyfett never got this game. Hope it does well. Peace & Love.

meh.the controller is the same and those songs should just be DLC or part of a "bonus disk"
