With Dirt 2 undergoing its final checks in advance of its September 8 race day in the US, Codemasters is giving gamers plenty of time on the practice track. The Dirt 2 demo offers gamers an advanced look at two events: Trailblazer and Landrush. The Trailblazer event is set on the Moroccan plains, and gamers can situate themselves behind the wheel of a Mitsubishi Eclipse GT to navigate the long straights and tight turns. Landrush offers a more chaotic racing experience, as it's set on the Ensenada Port circuit in Baja California. Driving the West Coast Choppers Stuka Trophy Truck, gamers will navigate rough terrain and assorted obstacles.

Accompanying the demo's release, Codemasters has released a new trailer for the off-road racer, which can be seen below. Dirt 2 will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3, PSP, Wii, and DS next month, with a DirectX 11-enabled PC edition to follow. For more information, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
