Platinum Games, developer of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and Bayonetta, has unveiled its next title, The Legend of Korra. According to an IGN report, the third-person hack-and-slash action game is a companion to the Nickelodeon TV series of the same name.

In the game, you take control of a woman named Korra, who has the ability to control, or "bend," elements. She is the Avatar, which means she is the only person in the world who can bend Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water. Every other bender can only control one of those four.

Tim Hedrick, who helped with the show's story, is writing the game's narrative. The game's story takes place between Books (or seasons) 2 and 3 of the show, and it is meant as a bridge between them.

Platinum is also creating an additional arena mode, called the Pro-Bending Arena, where you can fight against other benders in 3-on-3 battles. The game will launch for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC this year.

A turn-based strategy Legend of Korra game is coming to the 3DS this year, too. This version is in development at Webfoot Technologies.

Platinum Games is also working on Wii U-exclusive Bayonetta 2 and Xbox One-exclusive Scalebound.
