Deus Ex: The Fall is now available for iOS through the App Store, one day ahead of its previously announced July 11 release date. It's not clear why the release date was bumped up.

The game is available now for $6.99/£4.99/€ 5.99 and is compatible with the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod Touch (5th generation), iPad (3rd generation), and iPad Mini.

Deus Ex: The Fall was developed by Square Enix's mobile division in Europe in colloboration with Eidos Montreal and N-Fusion. It is described as a "story-driven action RPG."

The game is set in 2027, a period described as a "golden era for science, technology, and human augmentation," but also a time of serious social divide and "global conspiracy." Deus Ex: The Fall stars Ben Saxon, a former British SAS Mercenary who underwent a physical augmentation.

Its not the FALL that gets you, its the sudden STOP at the END. :D

Honestly, we really did not ask for THIS.

Screw the haters.  This game is awesome.  It looks and sounds terrific and it plays EXACTLY the same as the previous game on PC/consoles.  It's unquestionably the best iPad game I've ever played.

You guys would have made more if you had made this a standalone expansion for Consoles and PC.

Sorry but I can't support this game. Buying it would just encourage developers to spend more time on tablet games and less time on PC/Console games.

The trailer looked awesome.  Looks identical to HR but graphically downgraded.  Looks like a great way to kill time while waiting for delayed flight.

No, Patrick, iPad is not a gaming device.

Who really wanted this or asked for it?

I kind of want an iPad just to see if this could be any good. I know it's doubtful, but hey, they had to have a reason as to why they would do this.

I hated HR, so no way I am buying it anyway.  I did check out the page.  What concerned me most was $7.99 and a warning that the game uses IAP.

Forget it, I'm not buying this iOS crap. Period.

Give me a serious PC sequel  or NO MONEY from me....

I get the feeling the core Deus Ex player base is not very mobile gaming focused. I know I am not...

The protagonist looks like Jean Reno.

I bought a first generation ipad. It's completely useless at this point because nothing new is ever compatible with it.  In hindsight wanting to use any apple product for more than 18 months was a foolish thought.

SquareEnix management: Oh man we're really hurting for money what should we do?

Other guy: Let's make a Deus Ex mobile game, but only develop it for the iOS!

SquareEnix management: Give that man a promotion!

SquareEnix employee: Uh that's just the homeless guy who lives in our parking garage.

@wwlettsome That's bullcrap.  There's loads of game companies making quality titles for PC/consoles WHILE ALSO splitting their time making terrific games for tablets and phones.  Stop complaining and just play some frickin video games.  If you don't like mobile games then just don't play them.

@SunSpot I really don't get why people ABSOLUTELY HATE tablets for gaming.  I mean I know people want buttons, but beyond that....they have no real arguments.  I mean tablets are quite powerful and they have some really fantastic games on them.  I think people just hate mobile devices for the sake of hating them.  They don't like them because they're new and have exploded so quickly in popularity.

I just get sick of hearing people complain about them.  They're here to stay, at least for a while.  I think these people should just get over it and play these games and have fun, or just not participate and not play them.  I feel like they think if they hate this stuff enough it'll go away.

@ImpliedBunny People like to talk crap about me. They talk more crap about me if I'm doing something cool, such as playing games on my cool laptop while waiting for a delayed flight. Because of this, I just sit there and avoid doing anything cool that will make people talk more crap.

I guess you haven't played the great games iOS had offered.   Games such as Infinity Blade

@Jedilink109Dude, the reason we "hate" tablets and iphones for gaming is because it's not ideal, it's like saying "I love wearing sandals for jogging", it's just not the best experience. If you like uncomfortable controls on a tablet then fine, but try to understand why others don't and would rather play games conveniently using a proper controller on a proper upright monitor.

@NTM23 @petez34 If you're cool with playing mobile games, this game is awesome.  It's probably the best looking iphone/ipad game I've ever seen and it plays just like the console game.  It's REALLY good.

@deathstream @Marsh87 I just finished the original  Deus EX game and I fail to understand why you imply that HR was not "a real Deus Ex" game. It improved upon serious issues original game had. It was also more open to exploration. Memory can be deceiving, go back to original game and you will see I am right.

Jedilink109
Jedilink109

@deathstream @USAPATRIOT21 It's the processor dude.  The ipad 2 doesn't have as good a processor as the mini. and the 3 and 4 processors are more powerful than that one.  If I'm correct I thought the mini had the same processor as the one in the iphone 4S, which is also compatible.

ElvinasD

@gamemaven And you do? I have played all types of games from all types of different genre. Please check my profile first before posting about me playing "superficial stuff." I just finished the original and got every ending . HR has same inventory, aug, weapon mod system. You can approach objectives any way you want (silent, lethal, non-lethal). Hacking was improved: you dont have to sit there and watch computer doing it for you. I barely used any augs in original since majority of them were useless. Stealth was also improved in HR. Original had overpowered weapons that made game a breeze (like a dragon's tooth sword). Deus Ex was a phenomenal game I can't argue with that, but saying HR was a "superficial game" is unfair.

gamemaven

@ElvinasD @deathstream @Marsh87 You have no clue what you're talking about. The original smokes the prequel in every way that matters. You're too hung up on the superficial stuff and that's why games suck these days.

@ElvinasD @deathstream The original is still good, but yeah, Human Revolution is a superb game with a few problems. I am very happy it's the game that was made.

Jedilink109

@deathstream @ElvinasD There are some if you want them but they ARE NOT forced upon you in any way.  It's really only things like money finding boosters and XP boosters.  That's it.  The game doesn't hinder you if you don't buy more IAP crap.
