Deus Ex Rising

Last week at E3, Eidos showed GameSpot a nearly finished build of Warren Spector's action-adventure game. Here are five new images from the game showing a couple of dramatic weapon effects and environments.

The game blends an FPS-style perspective with a futuristic conspiracy-laden storyline. Don't expect Deus Ex to be just another shooter, though. The game pushes you to use skill development and your cyborg augmentations in creative ways to solve challenges, often offering multiple puzzle solutions. Overall, Deus Ex's feel and gameplay remind us of last year's System Shock 2, the sequel to a previous Warren Spector adventure.
