Brisbane gamers are in for a treat this weekend, with the first public showing of Deus Ex: Human Revolution happening on Saturday at Mana Bar. The demonstration kicks off at 7 p.m. and unfortunately won't be playable. A Square Enix representative will be there walking attendees through the preview code while explaining what's happening onscreen.
If you live in the Brisbane area and are keen to go to Mana Bar to check out Deus Ex: Human Revolution, then head on over to the bar's official Facebook page for all the details. Prizes will also be given away on the night.
Despite being the third game in the Deus Ex series, Human Revolution is actually a prequel. Like in the previous games, players will be able to modify their character using social and physical augmentations. Because this is a prequel, all of the augmentations are mechanical, which is why some of the characters look robotic--the nanotechnology used in the previous games hadn't been invented at that time according to the game’s lore. Deus Ex: Human Revolution is currently slated for release in the first quarter of 2011.
