Update: Mankind Divided has been confirmed by Game Informer, which has some of the first official details. The action game is set in 2029, two years after Human Revolution, and does indeed feature the same protagonist, Adam Jensen. No release date has been set, but the leaked platforms--Xbox One, PS4, and PC--are accurate.

Original Story: A new Deus Ex game is in the works, and it's called Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

Square Enix recently teased that it would soon reveal a new game from a western studio. That led to a live stream that didn't reveal anything specific, but was presumed to be connected to a new Deus Ex.

Before the stream could run its course and make a proper announcement, NeoGAF discovered leaked images and details from Mankind Divided on a Russian website.

We've contacted Square Enix for more information, but have not yet heard back.

Based on the images, the game will feature the same protagonist as Human Revolution, Adam Jensen. According to the Russian site, the game is coming to PC, Xbox One, and PS4, and will have a similar style of play to HR, but you'll now have to contend with smarter enemies that work in groups, rather than individuals that can be picked off one-by-one.

We already knew the Deus Ex series would continue, and that the games would be connected as part of the Deus Ex Universe, the official name for the franchise's world. Mankind Divided will likely run on the Dawn Engine, which developer Eidos Montreal revealed in December.

You can seen the other images in the gallery below. We'll have more details as they become available.
