Deus Ex: Human Revolution coming to Wii U?

Amazon product page suggests Director's Cut version of 2011 action game headed to Nintendo's latest console this May.

by

Deus Ex: Human Revolution may be coming to the Wii U. An Amazon product page (via Joystiq) indicates that a Director's Cut version of the 2011 action game will be released for Nintendo's latest home console on May 7 for $50.

According to its product description, Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut will include a "multitude of improvements, features and additional content." One such new feature is GamePad support, allowing players to use the controller as Adam Jensen's "Neural Hub."

No developer for the rumored Wii U version was named.

Publisher Square Enix has not announced a Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut, and the company declined to comment.

What a waste of a good game, nintendo nerds cant appreciate a good RPG, give them some mindless mushroom jumping or fairy faping and they will be happy as pigs

I saw an Amazon page with preorders for RE6.5 Nah Edition plus Ustanak action figure.

Its a good sign that 3rd party developers are testing the Wii U with these kinds of games, even if it is with upgraded versions of an older one. Dues ex, HR is a successful game, both critically and in sales, so why not use it for this? At least these games are going to come out faster and build up the Wii U library.

lmao Deus Ex?  I tell u what. The Wii U ain't gonna last long with these overpriced bargain bin games. Its gonna be in a museum soon. When the Xbox ans PS4 comes out ppl are gonna 4get about this quick. Trust me.

I didn't bother to pick this up on 360 or PS3. I guess waiting pays off.

The Wii U getting a $50 game that came out a year-and-a-half ago on other platforms. This is something Nintendo needs to put their foot down about if they are to be taken seriously. Publishers aren't wasting their resources and money bringing their new projects to the system, but they are willing to port a game with the quickness.

what a joke the wii u is. the only games it can get are games several years old that have pretty much sold as much as they can elsewhere, with the publisher looking for a couple of more sales on a close to dead system. And look how pathetic the user base. 'hey man thats like super cool, we are getting this super old game that everyone has pretty much already played, but its still the best game on our system. Nintendo is like super awesome'.  Whats the next big wii u release, pong directors cut?

Good game. This would fit quite well on Wii U with its controller. And its something different for the Nintendo fans who didn't adopt any of the other consoles.

If this is true, PLEASE ALLOW US TO CUSTOMIZE THE CONTROLLER SCHEME!!!

A bit pricey for how old the game is, but still one of the greatest games I've ever played. That game made me want to be Adam Jensen. A message to all Wii U owners - You need to play this game.

Well, it gives Nintendo only owners something to play. But it's pretty late to the party.

$50? Mehhhh! RE4 had a rerelease on Wii for $30, and the new features were awesome. Why this can't follow the same example, I don't know. We need some more details on what makes this version "better".

You know who Nintendo fans remind me of? DISNEYLAND fans.

Both are little kid stuff, both are gimmicks , and the fans seem to be die-hard no matter how crappy something is

finally something good for wiiU owners , but old...

The game looked like crap ... so yea a port would be simple ...
That was an  immature statement, but a true one.

Turn the game-pad into a "Neural Hub" ... oh wow.

I will say F Yeah :). I will gladly pay normal price for this on Wii U. Why ? i did not played this on x360/PS3/PC and it should be the best version with extra content and bugfixes. Now let's see what they show if anything.

I think it's worth to support great games and devs.

Damn I just played this game for the first time recently on the PS3 and beat it. If only I knew how good this game was and heard this rumor which I believe to be true sooner. I might pick it up again just cause I enjoyed it that much and desperately need a Wii U game to play

so many anti-fans of Wii U crowding every Wii U news on Gamespot, to all the anti-fans: why aren't your own consoles more interesting to keep you occupied than posting about other consoles on the internet?

oh wait....

@SavoyPrime Its the economy...companies arent willing to throw money into a new game when they can port something to test the waters first....

Trickymaster
Trickymaster

@SavoyPrime $49 that is for a vastly improved, beautiful title. It comes with all the DLC and extra content designed for the Wii U controller. I think the price is appropriate. If I had a Wii U, I would buy it again.

@kiramasaki It just came out last november how is the WiiU close to dead? that doesnt make sense.....it takes at least  a year for ANY system to pick up steam...look at the Xbox 360..when it came out people were saying the graphics arent much better than the ps2 and it was getting alot of ps2 ports...I agree its been a very slow start on Nintendos part but consider this....this is the first system launch in the middle of the worst worldwide economic crisis of all time....Its a matter of resources.....

@diskotheque its on the backlog of my to get game list - so I guess Im getting the WiiU version. :)

@makoreactors ps3 did the same thing...it got bioshock,tombraider legend, mass effect 1, 2 and other games much later than xbox....

@makoreactors let's talk when it will come to buy ps4 or new xbox. For all you know it can be always on DRM on any game, or no 2nd hand copies of the game. Yet another Gold subscription to pay and adverts everywhere.

Darnasian
Darnasian

@braqoon You do realise ports never have bug fixes, do you? Plus there was just 1 DLC pack for this game , so you win just 10 dollars of content ,  but considering this will be a 60 dollar game and you can get it brand new on other systems for 15 and the DLC for 10 , you lose 35$. Math isn't that hard you know? Neither is logic.

makoreactors

@WoodenStick  So just because i have a ps3 i cannot have opinions on other systems?

Someone said it before on this site, the reason nintendo is failing is because they only care about themselves and nobody else (3rd party publishers). The fans do as well, fans always defend nintendo and act like there nintendo only games are better then everything else out there

Darnasian
Darnasian

@WoodenStick If I fucking wanted my PS3 games on the Wii U , I wouldn't have been here , but since this console is still not worth while , I will wait for the first true wave of console quality exclusive RPGs for this system.

@jcnba28 I haven't played it so yeah it is a real possibility that I may pick it up for the Wii U. Also, we don't know that Tomb Raider won't come eventually as well.  :)

@jcnba28 @YearoftheSnake5

Indeed, it was. Pointer control made aiming so much easier. I couldn't go back to the GC laser/analog after that. The inclusion of Ada's missions from the PS2 version and widescreen/480p support made the package even better. Same game at its core, but it was priced with that in mind.

YearoftheSnake5

@braqoon @AmnesiaHaze

Well, it would be even better if it were priced with its age in mind. For something that came out a couple years ago, $50 is pretty steep.

WoodenStick
WoodenStick

@makoreactors @WoodenStick there's alot of opinions about Wii U and i don't have trouble with that, but the amount of non-Wii U owners hating on nintendo has been bordering on hypocrisy. I've been replying to a couple of guys but i needed to make a post just to make them see what they are doing.

Chico86_basic
Chico86_basic

@makoreactors @WoodenStick That's not true at all. Even Nintendo knows they need 3rd party support like this. That was the whole idea with the WiiU. There's no reason for a game that can run on the console, with pro controller option and all, not to take a chance on WiiU just because it's new.

YearoftheSnake5
YearoftheSnake5

@jcnba28 @YearoftheSnake5

I haven't heard anything about that, but I hope it's an option. The 3DS gameplay is supposed to make the transition well. If Wiimote support isn't in the initial release, there is always the possibility of Capcom adding it in later, like they did with PS Move in RE5.

YearoftheSnake5
YearoftheSnake5

@Imperiacommando

Those flagship IPs are practically guaranteed to release at some point during the system's lifetime. Other new games are on their way....ever so slowly(Watch Dogs, Wonderful 101, etc.)

It doesn't really help that EA and Nintendo had that falling out about Origin and games that could have been released(Crysis 3) got shafted. Thankfully, NFS comes out this month...

braqoon
braqoon

@Darnasian @jcnba28 it's very subjective in terms of loosing. Gamepad can give you a better experience or some extra content. I choose to buy it on WiiU if released.  I don't think i will loose. If anything i will show support for this platform to devs. I Prefer that then backing any kickstarter like begging for money.
