Think you're good enough at Destiny to beat the game's developers? You may have a chance to prove your skills, as Bungie has announced a weekly competition where developers at the studio will square off with community members in Destiny multiplayer.

Once a week, beginning Thursday, a team of Bungie developers will enter Destiny's multiplayer mode, the Crucible, where they'll play against anyone they meet. If your team is good enough and ends up winning, you'll receive the player emblem below--The Sign of Opposing Will.

The festivities begin tonight at 7 PM PDT on PlayStation 4. Bungie's team, consisting of the names below as well as alternates to be named later, will play for an hour. If you end up taking down Bungie, you can claim your prize by posting a link to your victory in the comments section of this story before 12 noon PDT on Friday, September 26.

Look for these names in Destiny's Crucible:

Winning teams will get a mention in Bungie's Weekly Update blog post, and player emblems will appear in the Tower on the following Tuesday.

Bungie says it will hold developer vs. community events such as this often and in the game's various playlists. Though the first competition is being held on PS4, Bungie says players on "every platform" will have a shot to take down Bungie at its own game to claim their prize.

Destiny launched last Tuesday and generated more than $325 million in sold-through revenue. Players tallied more than 100 million hours in the game during its first week, which is on par with historical Call of Duty trends, Activision says. The game's release also boosted PS4 sales to the console's highest weekly sales tally since holiday 2013.
