Bungie will release more information about Destiny’s beta during E3, according to a post to the company’s official website.
In response to a question from a fan asking when Bungie will finally release information about the beta, community manager David Dague simply responded: “E3.”
Bungie has also been giving out more beta codes lately. If you want a chance to grab one, you might want to follow Bungie on Facebook and Destiny on Twitter.
Another fan pointed out that we haven’t seen any vehicular combat in Destiny yet either, which was a big part of Halo. To this, Dague again responded by saying we should look forward to E3.
A post on the PlayStation Blog also makes it seem like Destiny is gearing up for a big announcement about the beta. Sony announced that it has teamed up with Activision and Bungie for a contest that will fly the winner and a friend out to E3. The winner will get access to the show floor, hands-on time with Destiny, and a meet-and-greet with Bungie. The 500 runners up will win access to the Destiny beta.
The Destiny beta will begin this summer first for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, before coming later to Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Preordering the game will guarantee you access to the beta. The game launches in full on September 9 and publisher Activision has major commercial expectations for it.
