Destiny 2 Is Finally Making It Easier To Unlock All Your Stasis Abilities From Season 22

Plus, more quality-of-life updates are coming next season.

Quality-of-life improvements have been a constant--and welcome--part of Destiny 2's evolution over the last couple of years, and in Season 22, you can expect to see several upgrades introduced to the game. In a new blog post detailing the state of Destiny 2, Bungie outlined several of these smaller improvements that'll be introduced next season, starting with a big change to how you'll unlock your extra Stasis abilities.

You'll no longer need to embark on lengthy quests to unlock all Aspects and Fragments of that Darkness subclass. According to Bungie, completing the Beyond Light campaign will enable you to acquire all available Stasis Aspects and Fragments from Elsie Bray on Europa starting next Season. Currently, there's a limit to how Stasis is unlocked, as you'd have to do several lengthy bounties to earn the currency needed to purchase your desired Aspect or Fragment, a process that takes weeks of work per Guardian.

Finally, a resources tab.
Finally, a resources tab.

Bungie hasn't detailed which resources you'll need to complete your Stasis collection, but if the process is similar to how you purchase Light 3.0 Aspects and Fragments from Ikora Rey, you'll probably be able to slip Elsie some Glimmer to get the goods.

Other smaller quality-of-life changes coming soon are focused on shaders, transmat effects, and resources. You'll be able to pin up to 100 of your favorite shaders, ornaments, and emotes to the top of the list starting in Season 22, allowing you to quickly pull up those cosmetics and apply them to your new gear. Guardian fashion, it's so hot right now.

Transmats will now be unlocks instead of consumables--similar to shaders--the Wish-Ender quest is being tweaked to function like a normal mission, and a Resources tab in the Collections. This will show you all of the currencies, upgrade materials, and engrams available in the game, how to acquire them, and what to actually do with these materials.

Starting in Season 22, Iron Banner will have two different stacking challenges each day, one focused on improving the reputation multiplier without needing to use specific seasonal subclasses, the other geared towards players who are going after their Pinnacle rewards who do need to equip a specific subclass. Finally, ritual reputations will rank up immediately, instead of waiting for you to go into orbit, allowing you to get your loot more quickly.

In other Destiny 2 news, Gambit is slowly becoming even more irrelevant from Season 22, but at least the game's PvP mode is getting a healthy influx of new content.
