Flying Lab Software has announced that it has licensed the LithTech Jupiter System for use in its upcoming horror action game, Delta Green. Jupiter is the next-generation engine that will be used in Monolith's upcoming sequel to No One Lives Forever.

Delta Green is based on Pagan Publishing's Delta Green series of tabletop role-playing games and novels. It is inspired by the work of H.P. Lovecraft, and it features a world filled with government conspiracies and secret agencies. The game will have both tactical and strategic elements in which players will build a conspiracy, solve mysteries, and fight alien monsters in real-time combat.

"Jupiter was the obvious choice for Delta Green," said Russell Williams, executive producer of Flying Lab Software. "With its new lighting tools, we're able to use true shadows cast by dynamic light sources for the game's many eerie scenes. The flashlight effects are simply amazing."

We've posted an early screenshot from the game that shows a character pointing a flashlight at a monster, casting shadows on the monster's body. Delta Green is scheduled for release in late 2003. For more information, visit the game's official Web site.
